Jackson`s Pro Series is made for ambitious musicians out there, the ones who want a professional instrument they can take both on stage and into recording studio. Prices range from $1,000 to $2,000 and Pro Series guitars and basses offer the best craftsmanship, looks and tone in their class. For 2016, Jackson has prepared several Pro Series Soloist models and this simple, yet deadly SL2 is one of them. SL2 is made for players who prefer the classic Soloist recipe, 24 jumbo frets, two passive humbucking pickups, locking bridge and neck-through construction. Metallic Black, Satin Red and Midnight Blue options are available.
SL2 kicks off with a solid and double-cut body made of alder wings on the sides and maple neck in the middle. The neck features the standard Speed profile in the back and a 24-fret fingerboard made of ebony on top. Small piranha inlays, 1-11/16" locking nut and compound 12"-16" radius complete the fingerboard.
Seymour Duncan`s Mayhem Distortion humbuckers offer a stunning level of sheer, brutal aggression, perfect for darker and heavier forms of modern metal. One volume, one tone and a toggle pickup switch keep things simple in the controls department. Floyd Rose bridge and locking Jackson tuners wrap the specs list.
