Jackson`s X series is one of the most serious competitors in the lower intermediate range. Its models feature a shrewd mix of the hallmark Jackson playability, advanced pickups options and build quality on one side, and low cost hardware and tonewoods on the other side. Soloist SLX is one of the most affordable Soloists ever made, as it ranks somewhere around the middle of the X series lineup. It`s solid and flat body is made of basswood wings with quilt maple top, and a multi-laminated maple neck in the middle. Bridge section is fit with a licensed Floyd Rose bridge with six saddles and black plating. Passive EMG HZ H4 pickups come with a simple controls unit. Maple neck is slim, fast and rocks the standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.
