Carvin`s original Ultra V was introduced back in 1987 and ran through 1993, when it was discontinued. Some 14 years later, in 2007, Ultra V made a return after popular request. Today, Kiesel-badged Ultra V is one of only two V-shaped models in the catalog (other being Ultra V7).
Ultra V Kiesel 80s Era Reissue is an asymmetrical V guitar, with neck-through construction, 24-fret fingerboard and beveled body. Basic construction includes alder-made wings, 5-piece maple neck and ebony fingerboard. Kiesel does, however, offer a huge range of alternative tonewoods, tops and color & finish options. Also, alternative hardware finishes, fret sizes, bridge units, inlays and pickup combos are offered. Other major features in the standard package include a string-through TOM bridge, pair of Kiesel K12 pickups and Carvin tuners.
