Johnny Hiland is an epitome of versatility in the guitar world. Genres he played span from bluegrass and country to jazz, blues, rock and metal. He is also a member of PRS signature artist family. His signature model is a classic double-cut guitar with six-string construction and super elegant styling. Mahogany base is covered with a two-piece flamed maple top. Top is carved, bound in creme and matched with nickel-plated hardware. Tortoise Shell and Amber color schemes are offered for this model and they both come with glossy finish. Tremolo bridge on this model is a non-locking one and it features string-through construction. JH humbuckers installed on this model can be split through push-pull switches. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a 24-fret maple fingerboard.

I Love my Johnny Hiland Signature PRS. I have the red one and it is the most versatile guitar I have ever owned. This is one great axe, even if Johnny has gone to ernie ball. This baby will always be with me.

You may also want to consider that Johnny Hilands`departure from PRS to Ernie will probably mean the end of future production. I would seriously suggest you try one of these out in several different amps to experience the true versatility of this axe. You may want to get one before it is harder to find. I think you will be happy you did.
