PXD Tomb is one of many models in Peavey`s renown PXD series. This is the basic and most popular line of metal guitars made by Peavey. This series is mostly performance-oriented. Fancy design appointments and lavish decorations are being thrown away for the sake of familiar design and build and tone quality. PXD`s Tomb model is one of the best examples. It rocks the modified SG body with flat-top design and bolt-on neck joint. Body of this model is made of basswood and it`s paired with a maple neck. Simple tune-o-matic bridge comprises the one-piece bridge section. There`s only one humbucker in it`s front (in bridge position). Maple-made neck on this six-stringer is topped with a series standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
