Solid and double-cut guitars with the C badge form the backbone of the Schecter catalog, along with Solo (single-cuts fashioned after the iconic Les Paul) V (Flying V inspired), Tempest and Avenger models. C models come in several variants, C-1 (six-strings), C-7 and C-8 (seven and eight represent the string count on the respective models). Almost exclusively, C double-cuts feature carved tops (lower intermediate and beginner models in Damien, Omen and Demon series may come with flat tops). For 2014, Blackjack series is being updated with a vast number of C models and this is the top C-1 model in the 2014 Blackjack lineup. Solid and double-cut body of this model is made entirely of mahogany and is combined with a set in mahogany neck. On the top, there`s an original Floyd Rose bridge and a pair of passive humbuckers (Seymour Duncan Nazgul in the bridge and Schecter Sustainiac in the neck position). Standard set of two volume knobs, one tone knob (with push/pull switch) and a three-position blade switch is accompanied by a pair of mini-switches (On/off and Sustainiac mode selectors). Mahogany neck is fit with a C contour in the back and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard on the top.
