Schecter is one of the most prominent brands on the market when it comes to the extended range electric guitars. They were among the first manufacturers to fully engage in the serial production of the seven string and, subsequently eight and nine-stringed axes. Nowadays, it`s quite common for newly made series to kick off with seven and eight, sometimes even nine-string options. Hellraiser`s new Passive sub-series is no exception when it comes to the extended range territory (though its initial lineup stops at seven strings). Hellraiser C-7 Passive comes with a solid and double-cut mahogany body (Satin Black version is all-mahogany, while the Black Cherry has a classic Hellraiser-styled quilt maple top). Tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction and Schecter`s own Brimstone pickups (hand-wound in Schecter`s custom shop) are featured on the top. Series standard controls unit includes separate volume knobs, master tone with a push/pull switch and a three-position blade switch. Set in mahogany neck has the regular C profile seen all over the catalog and set in joint in the back. 24-fret fingerboard with a TUSQ nut and Gothic Cross inlays is featured on it`s top. This 26-1/2"-scaled seven-string also features Schecter`s locking tuners, 16" fingerboard radius and black chrome hardware.
