Back in 2003, when Schecter Guitars were starting the new era, Omen series looked pretty similar to today`s incarnation. C-1 six-string body was, as it is now, the main pillar of the catalog. Omen 6 from 2003 was made as a solid, double-cut guitar with carved top and bolt-on neck joint. Back then, as it is now, basswood was the main tonewood. It was used for both the top and back of the body. Black-painted body was finished in high gloss and it was decorated with chrome-plated hardware. There was no pickguard on 2003 Omen 6 model. Tune-o-matic bridge was fronted by a pair of passive humbuckers. Bolted maple neck was topped with a standard 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
