Ultra is one of the most standard and essential models in the Schecter catalog. It even has it`s own series and signature lines are made for Dan Donegan and Robert Smith. It is based upon the immensely popular Firebird design. Even though not being usually equipped with neck-through construction, Schecter`s Ultras have the elevated center part of the body, just like the Firebirds. For 2013 Schecter introduces a Special Edition Ultra XII model. It comes with a standard double-cut body made of mahogany. There is no binding around the top and the back is flat. Two-piece pickguard is installed on the top. Black with glossy finish is the only option in the color palette for this model. Bridge section is an ordinary one. It features a hardtail bridge with six saddles and string-through-body construction. Bridge is plated in gold, as is the rest of the hardware. Pickups are Duncan Designed FG-101 and they`re installed in bridge, middle and neck positions. Controls include master volume, master tone and a set of three slider switches. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a standard 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Tuners are Grover.
