Vintage Modified series is one of the most interesting concept in Fender/Squier catalog. It takes on a vintage-styled concept (not a particular model) and infuses it with features and appointments deemed to be needed/wanted by contemporary young musicians. Thus far the series has been a huge success. Vintage Modified Baritone Jazzmaster was introduced several years ago and Fender`s 2017 NAMM Lineup has featured its successor of the same name. Frankly, not much has changed. Perhaps, the styling, color palette and hardware coating represent the most obvious changes. Solid, Jazzmaster-shaped body made of basswood, C-shaped maple neck and 21-fret rosewood fingerboard (with 30" scale and 21 medium jumbo frets) form the base of this long-scale axe. Fixed six-saddled bridge, two P-90 pickups (Duncan Designed JM-101B/N) and sealed tuners form the hardware and electronics sections.
