Taylor is almost forty years active and is now stronger than ever. Their acoustics are being compared to Martin and Gibson legends and their electrics are being respected as some of the finest vintage guitars around. The reason for such high level of respect lies within the fact that Taylor has managed to create vintage guitars with an authentic design, styling and tone, instead of making mere copies and replicas. One of the brightest examples is the Solidbody Maple model from the 35th Anniversary series. It comes with a solid, single-cut body made of mahogany wings, sapele center (neck) and quilted maple top. Hardtail bridge is installed on the top and it is fronted by two Taylor minibuckers. Sapele neck is topped with a standard 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
