Speedster is one of the most authentic and eccentric guitar designs available on the market and, by far, the most distinctive Traveler model. Throughout the years, the Speedster has appeared in a range of variants and options, and for 2015 it`s been updated with the new V2 generation of the on-board preamp. It is still equipped with a 1/8" headphones output jack, and a tap switch for cycling through the modes (clean, boost, overdrive and distortion). Alongside the headphones jack, there`s another 1/8" jack. It is an input jack, so that the players can plug in and jam to their favorite tracks. Classic 1/4" output is also included. Pickups compartment features the standard dual-coil bridge pickup with a now expanded controls unit. Besides the regular volume and tone controls, Speedster Hot Rod V2 also has a coil-splitting mini-switch. Construction and design of the body of this hot new Speedster follow the series conventions - the classic Speedster body is solid and made of hard maple. Black and White color options with black hardware and gloss finish are available. Neck on the new Speedster is set in and made of hard maple (the same material as the body). On its top, there is a 22-fret fingerboard made of ebonized rosewood. Medium-sized frets, dot inlays and 1-3/4" string nut complete the fingerboard.
