Excalibur Original models bring the essence of Excalibur line. These are workhorses with accent on performance, rather than flashy looks. This model comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of two centrally-joined pieces of alder. Plastic pickguard is the only top feature, as binding and top wood covers are omitted this time. The bridge is a classic tremolo with string-through construction. Pickup combo is provided by Seymour Duncan and it comes in H/S/H configuration. Master volume, master tone and five-position blade switch comprise the electronics unit. Neck on this model is made of maple and it comes with D contour. Neck is bolted to the body. Both rosewood and maple fingerboard options come with 24 medium frets, dot inlays, 11.80" radius and 1.65" teflon string nut.
