With this model Excalibur line ventures to the extended range waters to compete with segment`s leaders from Ibanez, Schecter, ESP and others. So far, Excalibur Special 7 is doing a great job. It features a solid, double cutaway body made of alder back and flamed maple top. Creme binding and varnish gloss finish are featured on this top. Tremolo bridge is equipped with string-through construction and black chrome plating. In the pickups area DiMarzio supplies a H/S/H combo. These pickups are controlled with master volume, master tone and five-position blade switch. Neck on this model is made of maple and equipped with D contour. Rosewood and maple fingerboards both come with 24 medium sized frets, dot position inlays and 1.93" wide teflon nut. 25-3/5" scale and Vigier tuners complete the specs.
