J3 is the basic model from the Jazz series in Washburn catalog. This series offers a range of jazz guitars, fully hollow electric guitars. The range of styles and genres these six-stringers can handle ranges from jazz and blues to fusion, latin and some early rock and roll. Harder rock styles are not what suits these guitars. J3 comes with a fully hollow single-cut body made of maple. The top is carved with a pair of bound "f" holes. Back and top panels are also bound in creme binding. hardware on this model is plated in chrome. Rosewood bridge is backed up by a W-shaped tailpiece. Two active humbuckers are installed in the front of the bridge section. Set in maple neck is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
