Idol series from Washburn deals with single-cut guitars based upon the legendary Les Paul design. Pointy cutaway, wider bottom and a modified upper bout give the Idol models a personality of their own. WI50V is one of the models from the Original Idol range and it features an all-mahogany body. Both the solid back and carved top are made of mahogany. Glossy finish, creme binding and black hardware decorate this model. Bridge section is a bit uncharacteristic for an LP-shaped guitar, as it sports a double-locking trem bridge. It`s plated in black and fronted by a pair of open-coil humbuckers. Two volume knobs, two tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch complete the controls unit. Set in mahogany neck is ultra thin and it has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.
