In the guitar industry, Deluxe, De Luxe and DLX labels are awarded to the series and models which feature the materials and hardware appointments of a better quality than the most of of other series and models. Washburn is no exception to this unwritten rule. Thus, the WI DLX is among the top models in the Original Idol series. It comes with a solid, single-cut body made of mahogany back and flamed maple top. Back is completely solid, while the top is carved. High gloss finish, elegant binding and black chrome hardware decorate the body. Standard tune-o-matic bridge/stoptail bar bridge combo is fronted by a pair of open-coil humbuckers with standard controls unit. Set in neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

just got the win-dlx--so impressed with it. the ease of handling and sound--should have done this earlier.
