311H is a more affordable variant of the mighty Pacifica 611. Design, construction, hardware and materials are nearly the same on these two. The only big difference is in the pickups department. Where 611 is supercharged with Alnico V Seymour Duncan pickups (humbucker in the bridge and P-90 in the neck position), 311 rocks the set of Yamaha Alnico V pickups with the same configuration. Controls section on 311 features master volume, master tone (with push/pull switch) and a three-position pickup switch. Hardtail bridge with string-through-body construction is installed behind the pickups. Alder body is solid, flat and decorated with a tortoise pickguard. It is paired with a bolt-on neck made of maple. Neck is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.

This guitar sounds and feels fantastic. Yamaha Pacifica guitars are the best bang for buck guitars I have ever owned.

I really love this pickup combo. And for OEM pickups, they are very good. Not quite Seymour Duncan good, but very close. Very good value for the money.
