With 29th Anniversary Nighthawk Standard Gibson USA celebrates two decades of the Nighthawk series on the market. Astonishing looks and sweetest tone grace this beauty.
Gibson USA celebrates 20th anniversary of one of the most popular models within their ranks, the famous Nighthawk with a 20th Anniversary Nighthawk Standard model. This gorgeous six-stringer, based on the legendary Les Paul guitar, was introduced back in 1993 and it became an instant classic. Super elegant body and sweet tone were the hallmarks of Nighthawk series. These traits are what kept Nighthawk so strong throughout the years. Standard body of the Nighthawk line was fit with deeper cutaway, slimmer waist and rounder, bigger bottom. Overall, the Nighthawks had and still have a bit smaller bodies than Les Pauls. Gibson did everything possible to outshine all of the previous Nighthawk models with this one and the triumphant result of their effort is before our eyes. Solid and single-cut mahogany body is topped with a carved maple cap. Antique Natural option has a flamed maple top, while the Fireburst comes with a quilted maple cap. Hardtail bridge is installed, instead of the standard two-piece bridge section known from Les Paul series. HSH combo of pickups includes a slanted humbucker in the bridge, middle pickup in the middle and a minibucker in the neck position. Bridge pickup can be split into a single coil and five-position blade switch adds tremendous versatility to this anniversary Nighthawk. Mahogany neck is rounded in the back and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. 25-1/2" scale, Gibson tuners complete the specs list. The MSRP for both variants is set at $2,498.
