Traveler Guitars catalog is being infused with six novelties. Three guitars, two acoustics and one electric bass are being introduced.
Among the brands dedicated to the production of travel-sized guitars and basses, Traveler Guitars is the leading brand. Their models belong to the intermediate class of the market and offer exceptional quality for the money invested. For the fall of 2013, Traveler catalog is being updated with six models. Five of the mare six-stringers and one is a four-string bass. Three models are solid-bodied guitars which belong to the famous Escape series: Escape Mark III, Escape Classical and Escape Concert. Two acoustics are also being introduced: AG-105 and it`s acoustic-electric variant AG-105 EQ. TB-4P Bass is being replaced with a new four-stringer of the same name.
Traveler Escape Mark III is the first of three solid-bodied models introduced into the catalog for the fall of 2013. It features the standard single-cut body made of alder and a bolted neck made of maple. Shadow piezo pickup is being installed underneath the bridge saddle. 22-fret fingerboard on the maple neck is made of ebonized rosewood and features the series standard 1-3/4" wide string nut. Traveler TB-4P Bass is the only four-stringer being introduced this time. It shares much of the features with it`s six-string siblings, while retaining the recognizable appearance and tone. This 32"-scaled bass is made of alder body with Precision Bass design and bolted maple neck. This combination of tonewoods has proven to be the suiting one for Traveler models. 22-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard is installed on the top of the maple neck and it features 1-3/4" string nut. Traveler AG-105 is one of two acoustic models being reviewed in this article. This one is a fully acoustic dreadnought with the standard 25-1/2" scale and non-cutaway design. Back, sides and the top of the body of this model are all made of mahogany. Tuners are positioned behind the wooden bridge. There are no pickups or preamps installed on, or within the body of this six-string dreadnought. Neck is attached with a 14th fret dovetail joint and it`s topped with a 20-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard on it`s top. Traveler AG-150 EQ is the acoustic-electric variant of the above reviewed AG-105 model. It also features the non-cutaway dreadnought body and the standard 25-1/2" scale. Entire body of this model is made of mahogany, just like the body of the fully acoustic AG-105. These two models also share the neck and fingerboard specs. Traveler Escape Classical is the second of three solid electric guitars introduced this time. It is fit with a solid and non-cutaway body shaped after the standard classical guitars. It is made of alder and it`s paired with a bolted maple neck. Shadow piezo pickup is installed beneath the saddle of the bridge and the player can connect the guitar to the headphone amp through the 1/8" output jack. Traveler Escape Concert is the sixth and final model introduced this time. It is the third solid-bodied model and it is situated within the Escape series. It is largely similar to the rest of the family, It has a non-cutaway design and body is made of alder. It`s flat on top and it`s equipped with a fixed bridge with shadow piezo pickup and side-mounted preamp. Maple neck is bolted to the body and topped with a 21-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard.
