Two six-stringers with vintage styling and classic Danelectro tone are being unveiled just in time for the summer 2013.
Danelectro is one of the classic brands on the American market. Their legacy and influence can not be measured with mere words, for guitars and basses with Danelectro badge have helped shape the modern music as we now know it. As a continuation of the legacy of this exquisite brand, Danelectro Guitars unveil two new models for summer 2013. The first one is 67 Heaven, a classy six-stringer with new Alligator finishes and classic lipstick pickups. Second model is 56 Baritone, a 29-3/4" scaled axe with a surprising level of versatility and power. Danelectro`s classic styling, construction quality and playability are on the top level.
Danelectro 67 Heaven is the first of two novelties from Danelectro to be reviewed in this article. It comes with a classic flat-top and double-cut body made of masonite. It is paired with a vintage-styled maple neck with C contour in the back. 21-fret rosewood fingerboard covers the top of the neck. It has dot inlays and 1.65" wide string nut. Kluson-styled tuners are installed on the headstock. Standard S/S combo of lipstick pickups is installed on the body. Danelectro 56 Baritone is the second and last Danelectro update this time. It is a 29-3/4" scaled axe based on the classic 56 Single Cut. This one comes with a great level of versatility, being able to deliver everything from the easy surf rock and rockabilly melodies to serious hard rocking riffs and leads. It`s lipstick pickups, elongated scale and construction enable this remarkable stylistic range. Body of this exceptional rocker is single-cut, flat on top and made of masonite.
