Vintage parlor guitar with 19th century styling and tone has been introduced into the Parlor series. A real treat for all the traditionalists.
When it comes to acoustic instruments, not many brands can overshadow the iconic Washburn. More than a century of experience, superb build quality and timeless design are Washburn`s hallmarks. It is 2014, meaning we`re well into the 21st century and one might have thought that, by now, all of the traditional acoustic instruments, as well as the interest for them, would be well gone. But, it seems like Washburn is proving the opposite with their fantastic acoustic lineup and a strong position on the market, ranking far above some of the most modern brands. Traditional steel-stringers were, and still are, the strongest and most popular segment of the Washburn catalog and Washburn is reinforcing it with a sweet little vintage-styled parlor guitar. WP5234S is a retro parlor guitar with 19th century styling and design. Vintage guitar lovers are bound to fall in love with this gem and it might, also, convert some of the players oriented towards the modern instruments.
Washburn WP5234S is a non-cutaway parlor with 19th century styling and retro construction. Washburn offers this one in natural color with 19th century vintage decorations and embellishments. Back and sides are made of rosewood, while the top board is solid cedar. Top is decorated with western-styled gold leaf graphic. Also, top is bound in white. Rosewood bridge is fit with six string pins and a bone saddle. Beneath the sound board, Washburn installs scalloped bracing made of spruce. To stay true to the tradition and the period they`re emulating with this model, Washburn completely omitted the electronics. No pickups, no preamps, no cables, or jacks. Only the pure acoustic tone. Neck is made of mahogany and features the 12th fret dovetail joint. On it`s top, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard is installed. Open-geared and gold-plated tuners on the headstock complete the specs list. For more info, head over to the WP5234S detail page on our site, or on Washburn`s official web page.
