C-9 Dolce has a bit shorter scale and big tone for players who want a smaller guitar, but still want the characteristic Cordoba tone with it.
Cordoba is one of the most prominent modern classical guitar brands out there. Their catalog is aimed at players of all ages and profiles who want to have and play a nylon-stringed guitar. Standard classical guitars, as well as modern variations, fusions and derivative models are included into the lineup. There are several collections within the Cordoba Guitars catalog and each has it`s own task and focus. Iberia series is dedicated to the standard classical guitars, which are made in both the acoustic and acoustic-electric variant. For 2013, Iberia series receives a smaller variant of the popular C-9 model. Now it`s called C-9 Dolce and it features a 7/8 scale. This one is for players who want a smaller-bodied guitar, but are not willing to compromise on tone quality and strength.
Cordoba C-9 Dolce is a classical guitar with non-cutaway design and completely acoustic construction. It features mahogany back and sides with solid Canadian cedar top. This combo is pretty popular nowadays and Cordoba is on the forefront of this trend. Sound board is decorated with Indian rosewood binding and lovely rosette. Tone-wise, the 7/8 scale does not alter the output as much as it gives more comfort to the player. The electronics department on this model is empty, as Cordoba`s luthiers envision C-9 Dolce as purely acoustic instrument. Mahogany neck is topped with a 19-fret ebony fingerboard with flat radius and 2.04” string nut. Cordoba`s classical tuners are plated in gold.
