Reputation Dean built with their ML, Stealth, Razorback, Z and V models is one of the biggest in the world of electric guitars and the bigger it gets, more it needs to be proven with each new model. Dean`s Custom Run is a line of deadly axes, which come in very limited numbers. The current roster has seven models with numbers of copies ranging from fifty to two hundred. In the focus this time is DCR`s model number seven, the Stealth Floyd Rose. It is available in two hundred copies for world-wide distribution and it is hands-down one of the best metal axes Dean has ever built.
Dean Custom Run #7 Stealth Floyd Rose is a solid bodied guitar with a double-cut body made of mahogany base and flamed maple top. Beveled edges are painted in black on both the Natural and Trans Black color options. Each of these two variants will only be made in one hundred copies. Body of this exceptional guitar is paired with a mahogany body through a set-in joint. Floyd Rose 1000 series bridge is plated in black or black chrome, depending on the color scheme and in front of it Dean installs a pickup combo reminiscent of the late Dimebag Darrell`s pickup setup. Mahogany neck has a standard V contour and it`s topped with an ebony fingerboard. 22 frets are equipped with diamond inlays and a special 12th fret razor inlay. 1-11/16" wide string nut wraps the fingerboard.
