For Summer NAMM 2013, Martin guitars unveil the Ed Sheeran LX1E signature model, one 16 series 12-stringer and Road series six-stringer.

For 2013 Summer NAMM show, Martin has prepared one affordable signature, the Ed Sheeran LX1E, one 16 series 12-stringer, the J12-16GTE and one Road series six-stringer, the 000RS1.
Martin Ed Sheeran LX1E Signature model is the first of three models introduced by Martin Guitars for the 2013 Summer NAMM show. This one is a budget-friendly model from the X series and it is oriented towards the younger population and modern music players. This is a 0-sized guitar with non-cutaway design and set in neck. High Pressure Laminated wood is used for the back and side panels, while the top is made of solid sapele. Fishman electronics are featured beneath the laser-decorated sound board. Black richlite bridge and fingerboard, 23: scale, 1.687: wide corian nut and brown stratabond neck completet the specs list. The MSRP is set at $599. Martin 000RS1 is a novelty introduced into the affordable Road series. Spartan styling, genuine Martin tone and all-solid construction give this model a very strong base for the battle in the $1,000 section of the market. Solid sapele is used for the back, sides and sound board of this 0-sized acoustic-electric. Fishman`s Sonitone electronics are featured under the hood. Stratabond neck is attached to the body with a classic 14th fret dovetail joint and topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of black richlite. The MSRP is set at $999. Martin J12-16GTE is the third and final model introduced in this article. It is also the most expensive and most luxurious of the three. Classic non-cutaway jumbo body is made of solid mahogany back and sides with solid spruce sound board on the top. Black richlite is used for the bridge and fingerboard which, together with corian nut and TUSQ saddle, denotes this model as an intermediate Martin steel-stringer. D-Tar Wave Length Multi-Source electronics are installed on this model. Hardwood neck is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard with dot inlays and 1-13/16" wide string nut.
