Epiphone`s Genesis might make a big comeback. Sugested specs list combined with sugested retail price is mind blowing.
Genesis was first introduced back in 1979 to be Epiphone`s response and strongest player against the almighty Les Paul from Gibson. Even though short-lived, this model blazed a trail so strong that now, more than 30 years later fans are still requesting this legend to be brought back from the retirement. Back in the day, Genesis was envisioned as a new starting point for Epiphone and some of the finest features, as well as innovations were added to the model. It featured coil splitting, which was a fairly new and advanced concept at the time. Many more high quality appointments were also installed on the original Genesis and today`s Genesis Deluxe Pro is following in it`s pioneering footsteps.
Epiphone Genesis Deluxe Pro is a beautifully carved double cutaway guitar with set neck joint construction. Body is made of mahogany back and quilted maple top. This solid bodied rocker has creme binding around the carved glossy top. Bridge combo features tune-o-matic bridge in front and stoptail in the back. Burstbucker pro pickups are controlled through a standard volume and tone knobs layout with three-way toggle switch. Volume knobs feature push/pull coil splitters for both pickups. Mahogany neck has a slim and comfortable contour. It is glued in and topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The MSRP for this one is proposed at $499 with hardshell case included.
