Fender has introduced ten new guitars and basses at this year`s Musikmesse. Standard, Cabronita and Classic series were under the spotlights.
Fender`s catalog is vast and offers the players of all profiles options to get exactly what they want, both style and tone-wise. Acoustics, Electrics, amplification and much more is offered under the Fender banner. Of course, the most popular section of the catalog is the line of electric guitars, which was under the spotlights of the 2013 Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. Along with seven fantastic new guitars, Fender has introduced three electric basses. Three series, ten new models and one of the most exciting novelties lineups unveiled this year. Standard series has received three models: Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top, Standard Stratocaster Plus Top and Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top with Locking Tremolo. New Classic Series electric guitars are: Classic ‘60s Stratocaster Lacquer, Classic ‘50s Stratocaster Lacquer and Classic ‘50s Telecaster Lacquer. Classic Series basses introduced in Frankfurt are: ‘60s Jazz Bass Lacquer and ‘50s Precision Bass Lacquer. New Cabronitas are Cabronita Precision Bass and Cabronita Telecaster Thinline.
Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top is the first of three Strat models introduced into the Standard serirs at this year`s Musikmesse. It blends the classic features of the Standard series with modern and attractive flamed maple top. Alder body is paired with bolted maple neck with modern C contour. HSS configuration of pickups is accompanied by a standard controls unit and backed by a regular trem bridge. Depending on the color option, 21-fret fingerboard can be made of both the rosewood and maple. Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top is the second Standard series Strat introduced at Musikmesse. Technically, it is the same as the previous model, with the only major difference being the slanted single-coil pickup in the bridge position, instead of the humbucker. Double-cut alder body is topped with a flame maple top. Aged Cherry Burst and Tobacco Sunburst are color options offered for this model. Standard tremolo bridge is installed on top of the body. Maple neck is equipped with C contour in the back and 21 fret fingerboard on top. Both the maple and rosewood fingerboards are available. Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top with Locking Tremolo is the third and final Standard series update this time. 21-fret fingerboard, H/S/S pickups configuration and bolt-on maple neck are mixed with the Floyd Rose tremolo bridge, making one of the best 21-fret Strats ever produced. Flame maple top comes in Tobacco Sunburst and Aged Cherry Burst options. Both are finished in gloss and matched with chrome hardware. Fender Classic '50s Stratocaster is the first of five models introduced into the Classic series. It comes with a classic double-cut body made of alder. Vintage trem bridge is installed on the top and it`s fronted by a set of three vintage single-coil pickups. Five position blade switch, master volume and two tone knobs comprise the controls of this beautiful vintage Strat. Maple neck is bolted to the body and topped with a 21-fret maple fingerboard. Special Lacquer finish is what separates models introduced at Musikmesse 2013 from the rest of the Classic series. Fender Classic '60s Stratocaster Lacquer is the second of two Classic strats unveiled at this year`s Musikmesse. Classic alder body is paired with a standard C-shaped maple neck. Vintage trem bridge is featured on the body, along with a pack of three vintage single-coil pickups. Controls unit includes master volume, two tone knobs and a five-position blade switch. 21-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood and marked with dot inlays. Fender Classic '50s Telecaster Lacquer pays tribute to the 1950s Telecaster models with it`s magnificent mix of period correct features and vintage tone extracted from two single-coils installed on it`s top. Single-cut body is made of ash and paired with a bolt-on maple neck. Classic Tele bridge has three saddles and it`s plated in chrome. Fingerboard on this model is made of maple and it features 21 vintage-sized frets, black dot inlays, 7.25" radius and 1.65" string nut. Fender Classic '50s Precision Bass Lacquer is a tribute to the earliest Precision models from the early 1950s. It comes with a solid, double-cut alder body and bolt-on maple neck. This combination, when mixed with middle-positioned Vintage P-pickup, gives that old school Precision Bass tone revered by so many players around the world. 20-fret maple fingerboard, vintage Fender tuners and 34" scale wrap this gorgeous vintage P-Bass. Fender Classic '60s Jazz Bass Lacquer is made of offset-waist alder body and bolt-on maple neck. Standard top-load bridge has four adjustable saddles and it`s fronted by a pair of single-coil pickups, better known as Jazz pickups. Master tone and two volume knobs accompany the pickups. Maple neck has a standard C contour in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Headstock is equipped with a set of four in-line vintage tuning machines. 3-Color Sunburst is the only color option available for this model. Fender Cabronita Telecaster Thinline is the only semi-hollow guitar Fender introduced at this year`s Musikmesse. It comes with a body made of ash and maple neck. Semi-hollow ash body features one "f" hole on the bass side of the standard hardtail bridge. In front of the bridge, Fender installs a pair of FideliTron humbuckers. Only master volume knob is included into the controls unit. 22-fret maple fingerboard has black dot inlays and 1.65" string nut. Fender Cabronita Precision Bass is the second Cabronita series model introduced this time. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder. Flat-top construction, contoured back, bolt-on neck joint and gloss lacquer finish complete the body. High mass bridge has four saddles and nickel plating.There`s only one pickup, the middle-positioned FideliTron humbucker, Master volume and master tone comprise the controls unit. 20-fret fingerboard installed on top of the maple neck is also made of maple.
