Fender opens the autumn of 2011 with a brand new Modern Player Series aimed at young Fender fans and entry-level portion of the market.
Fender present new series of entry-level guitars and basses called "Modern Player" and it consists of four guitar models and three bass models. Guitar models are: Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe, Modern Player Marauder, Modern Player Jaguar and Modern Player Telecaster Plus. Bass section of the series includes: Modern Player Jaguar Bass, Modern Player Jazz Bass and Modern Player Telecaster Bass. Every model from this series brings the mash of traditional Fender shapes and modern features.
The series provides the options for young players, as well for those on a tight budget who want a genuine Fender. MSRP is set between $559.99 and $609.99 with only two exceptions: Modern Player Jazz Bass MSRP is $699.99 and Modern Player Telecaster Bass MSRP is $839.99. This range hits the area around top Squier models, but offers the original Fender "A grade" quality and craftsmanship.
Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe comes with a semi-hollow mahogany body and a bolt-on neck. Hardtail bridge with string through body construction keeps tuning and sustain at top level. MP-90 pickups are placed in the bridge and neck position and bring the stable sound and loads of sustain. designed to produce modern tone, these pickups hit the bulls eye with strength of the humbuckers and clarity of single coils.
