Two guitars and one bass were added to the highly acclaimed Pawn Shop series from Fender. One Offset and Jaguar models were added to the guitar segment and one Jaguar bass to the electric bass department.
Fender updates the Pawn Shop series of electric and bass guitars with three brand new models. Two are placed in guitar section, while the bass part of the family receives one novelty. Pawn Shop is a line of instruments characterized by a unique blend of vintage and modern features. All of these models look vintage-styled, but sound very contemporary. The key is series` orientation towards the players who like classic Fender shapes, but want to play modern rock music. Therefore, the inspiration is drawn from the Fender models from '60s and '70s. But, these exact models were never made before, as they follow the series` unofficial motto: Guitars that never were, but should ave been. Guitar department got Jaguarillo and Offset Special models, while the bass section got updated with a Reversed Jaguar Bass.
Fender Pawn Shop Jaguarillo is the first of three novelties in Pawn Shop series and it comes with a regular Jaguar shaped body, which is made of alder. There are no top woods or bindings. Bridge section is composed of adjust-o-matic bridge and a vintage-styled floating tremolo tailpiece. In the pickups area, Fender installs three pickups, a slanted humbucker in the bridge and slanted single coils in the meddle and neck positions. They are controlled through master volume, master tone and five-position blade switch. Neck is made of maple and it sports a C contour. Rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets. Fender Pawn Shop Offset Special is one of the most elegant models ever produced by Fender. It comes with a semi-hollow, double cutaway body with offset waist construction. Body is made of alder in it`s entirety and finished in polyester gloss. Bridge is adjust-o-matic with a floating tremolo tailpiece. Two humbuckers are placed in the pickups area, one in the bridge and one in the neck area. Master volume and tone are accompanied by a three-way toggle pickup switch. Neck is made of maple and it comes with a C contour. It is topped with a maple fingerboard with 21 frets and black dot inlays. Fender Pawn Shop Reversed Jaguar Bass is the only bass update this time and it comes with a regular Jaguar body shape, just reversed. Body is solid and made of alder. It features no top woods or bindings. Bridge on this model is a modern High Mass hardtail bridge with string-through construction. Pickups installed on Reversed Jaguar come in H/H configuration. These full-sized humbuckers are controlled with master volume, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch. Neck is made of maple and it features C contour with a maple fingerboard on top.
