Eight Elite JP guitars, two Deluxe JP basses, one Deluxe Bass, one Deluxe guitar and one X level guitar are being introduced by Fernandes Guitars.
Fernandes Guitars are coming strong at the beginning of the year, bringing thirteen new models for 2012. The major shift occurred in the model leveling area where Elite JP is now a class of supreme Fernandes models. They are produced in Japan and have the best woods, hardware and craftsmanship Fernandes offers. Eight of them across some of the most important lines are being introduced. Elite JP models are: Dragonfly Elite JP, Monterey Elite JP, Ravelle Elite JP, Retrorocket Elite JP, Revolver Elite JP, Vertigo Elite JP, Vortex Elite JP and Vulcan Elite JP. Vulcan Deluxe and Vulcan X come in Deluxe and X classes. Retrospect 4 Deluxe JP, Retrospect 5 Deluxe JP and Triturador Deluxe are new bass models.
Fernandes Vulcan X is a brand new model and a part of a newly formed line of Vulcan guitars. The line emerged as a result of Vertigo model undergoing the facelift and redesign. Management decided to keep both models and rename the new one into Vulcan. Alder body, bolted maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets make for the basics of this entry level six-stringer. Pickups are high output humbuckers in both, bridge and neck positions. Black, snow white and dark metallic grey are colors for Vulcan X. All come with glossy finish. Fernandes Vulcan Deluxe is an intermediate Vulcan series model and features enhanced pickup combo and a set-in neck. This Vulcan aso comes with a tune-o-matic bridge with a stoptail bar and chrome plating. EMG pickups, mahogany body and maple neck give basis for high sonic expectations. This model is envisioned as Vulcan series workhorse, a quality instrument with few fancy appointments. Performance oriented, this model lacks binding, elegant hardware finish and other aesthetic upgrades. 24 jumbo frets and rosewood fingerboard are still there. Fernandes Vulcan Elite JP is probably the most interesting of all Elite JP models as it comes with a set of two chameleon colors, the chameleon green and chameleon purple, which change with the angle the guitar is looked at. Other than that, alder body is paired with a set maple neck which has a rosewood fingerboard. Wood combo with fantastic potential. EMG-81 in the bridge and Sustainer in the neck make sure this potential gets used in the best way. Along with that, Gotoh licensed Floyd Rose tremolo, 24 jumbo frets and six strings give unlimited possibilities. Fernandes Dragonfly Elite JP is the second of eight Elite JP models which are making their debut this year. It is a new top model for Dragonfly line of double cutaway guitars. Both body and neck are made of mahogany, and are connected via the set-in joint. Combination of Seymour Duncan SH-4JB humbucker in the bridge and a Sustainer in the neck, along with super fast 24 fret fingerboard, is enough to propel the player beyond his own limits. Monterey is a line of LP-styled single cutaway models which are oriented primarily towards young metal players who look for a modern shape and strong sound. Fernandes Monterey Elite JP is the new commander of Monterey lines and it comes with a mahogany body, set mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Tune-o-matic bridge, 22 frets and 24-3/4" scale signify that this model has a tremendously strong low end. Black, snow white and honey burst are colors available for this model. From 2012 Fernandes Ravelle Elite JP is heading the Ravelle series of modern, LP inspired single cutaway models. This Elite JP brings a combination of mahogany body with mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Needless to say, the neck joint is a set-in, as opposed to bolted ones on X models. Seymour Duncan SH-4JB and Sustainer are once again paired in the pickup department. 22 jumbo sized frets, 24-3/4" scale, 14" fingerboard radius and Gotoh hardware complete the spec for this model. Retrorocket line brings the looks and feel of a vintage Stratocaster refreshed and updated for the 21st century. Fernandes Retrorockert Elite JP is coming for 2012 with a combination of a solid ash body and a bolted maple neck. Fingerboard is also made of maple and equipped with 22 jumbo frets. At first glance, it may appear that this model has three single coil pickups in default Strat pattern, but these are all rail humbuckers with a Sustainer in the neck position. Revolver models are Fernandes take on Super Strat story, and it is a very successful one. Revolver, as of 2012 has an Elite JP level model. Fernandes Revolver Elite JP is a solid bodied, double cutaway guitar made of maple body and maple neck with a neck-through construction. EMG81 in the bridge and Sustainer in the neck position make up the pickup combo. This model is a shredder`s delight with a 25-1/2" scale, 24 jumbo frets and a Gotoh Floyd Rose licensed tremolo. Fernandes Vertigo Elite JP now headlines the Vertigo series and is a new model for 2012. It`s unusual shape and fantastic tonal properties make it a perfect choice for guitarists searching to express their individuality. Mahogany body has a flat top and a big pickguard which covers almost a half of the top. Maple neck has a rosewood figerboard with 22 jumbo frets and 14" radius. Fernandes Retrospect 4 Deluxe JP is the premier four-stringer in the Retrospect line. Design of these basses is heavily influenced by Fender`s cult Jazz Bass. The offset waist, large pickguard and bolted necks are some of the features which remind of the legend. Te body is made of ash and paired with a maple neck through the bolt-on joint. Bridge has a J-styled pickup and the middle position holds a P-styled pickup, of which both are made by EMG. 22 frets are jumbo sized and laid across the rosewood fingerboard. Fernandes Retrospect 5 Deluxe JP follows in the footsteps of the Retrospect 4 Deluxe JP and serves as its extended range variant in the Deluxe JP class. Retrospect 5 Deluxe JP shares almost all of it`s features with it`s four-stringed sibling. Ash body, bolted maple neck, 22 jumbo frets on a rosewood fingerboard and 34" scale length are the same. Fernades Triturador Deluxe is currently the only model of the brand new Triturador series in Fernandes bass department. This bass is made primarily for extreme metal as it is equipped with on-board distortion and gain controls. EMG-35DC pickups sit in both the bridge and middle positions. Unusual shape with a long and pointy lower cutaway comes in black and snow white color options. This bass also features 22 jumbo frets on a rosewood fingerboard.
