Making an early start, Ibanez introduces interesting novelties for the fall 2012. Once again Ibanez proves to be master of diversity with banjo, electric bass and electric guitar sections being updated. These models open up three brand new series, with only SGR series being previously featured in the Ibanez catalog. Five is not a big number, but these five novelties cover a lot of ground, primarily in the section of the electric basses. In bass segment models introduced are ATK800E and ATK805E in new ATK Premium series and GSRM25 in already existing SGR line. The only guitar is placed in a brand new J Custom series and it`s name is JCRG20126. The fifth model is a banjo from the newly established B series, it`s name is B50.
Ibanez GSRM25 is a GIO series model with modern double cut body made of basswood. This is an affordable five-string option and it`s primarily made for players who want to test their skills, but are not able to pay big bucks. Also, experienced five string players with tight budget might find this one appealing. B15 bridge is plated in chrome and equipped with top-load construction. Ibanez pickups are placed in J/J configuration. Maple neck is bolted to the body and topped with a 22-fret rosewood fretboard. Dot inlays, medium sized frets, 1.77" nut and 12" radius complete the fingerboard. Black gloss finish, modern tuners and 28-3/5" scale complete the list. Ibanez JCRG2016 marks the return of the J Custom series to the American market. Long awaited day has finally come and it brings a magnificent RG shaped axe with double cut body made of alder and flamed maple. Brown Garnet Shadow and Scarlet Ruby are currently available. Bridge is an Edge Zero, the finest double locking tremolo system Ibanez can offer. Seymour Duncan supplies Custom 5 for bridge and Jazz as neck humbucker. Master volume, master tone and five-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Positions 2 and 4 are for parallel wiring. Five-piece maple/walnut neck is bolted and equipped with Super Wizard contour. Bound rosewood fingerboard has 24 jumbo frets, Tree of Life inlays, 1.69" nut and 12" radius. Ibanez ATK800E and ATK805E are the first models placed within the new ATK Premium series. They are almost identical, with the exception of the fifth string featured on the 805. Ash bodies have double cut contours and flat tops. ATK bridge with metal plate around the bridge pickup is featured on both models. Bridge pickups are double humbuckers with their own special switches for coil selection. Neck pickups are single coils. Both models feature 3-piece maple necks with bolted joints. Maple fingerboards have 22 medium frets, black dot inlays and 9.45" radius. Flat satin finish on Walnut color scheme is the only color option available. Ibanez B50 is currently the only banjo in Ibanez family. It comes with a standard-shaped body made of mahogany base and Remo 11" head. Between them Ibanez installs a 24-bracket rim. Bridge section is made up of rosewood bridge and trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features a set-in joint. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it`s equipped with 22 frets. Dot inlays, 118" wide nut and flat radius complete the fingerboard.
