20 years of Gibson`s Custom department in the business is a big milestone for Gibson and they`ve decided to celebrate it in the most beautiful way possible, with a range of exclusive limited edition models, which will be available only throughout 2013. Over the past two decades, Gibson Custom has delivered many tribute, signature and replica models, making the guitar market a prettier place. For 2013 and brand`s 20th anniversary, Gibson Custom has prepared a range of limited edition models, which will be available only this year. The series is opened by 20th Anniversary 1957 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty.
Gibson Custom 20th Anniversary 1957 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty comes with a one-piece mahogany body and deeply set in mahogany neck. Body of this super luxurious six-stringer is covered with a carved maple top. Both the top and back are bound in several layers of binding. Top is also decorated with an elevated black pickguard. Bridge section on this model is made up of two pieces, tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. Both are plated in gold. Custom Bucker pickups are Gibson Custom`s creation and they sound unbelievably close to the original PAFs from 1950s. Standard controls unit is featured with them. Mahogany neck has a rounded '50s contour in the back and a 1-ply ebony fingerboard on top. It has 20 frets, block inlays, 1.6875" wide nylon nut and 12" radius.
