These models were and still are very successful around the world, thus being an important part of the Gibson catalog. This time around, a new signature model for Tak is made. This one will only be available over the sea, in Japan. Judging by the specs list and the sheer beauty of Tak Matsumoto DC Standard Flame Maple Top, western players are being denied access to one of the best and most beautiful double-cut Les Pauls ever made by Gibson Custom. This eights installment in Tak`s series blends huge experience with youthful and vivid appearance. Only the best pieces of wood are being used for this blue gem. Also, a set of Gibson Custom`s deluxe hardware is featured on this outstanding six-stringer.
Gibson Custom Tak Matsumoto DC Standard Flame Maple Top comes with an unchambered body made of a single-piece mahogany back and two-piece flame maple top. Standard Aqua Blue gives this double-cut six-stringer a note of grace and elegance. It is finished in gloss and matched with nickel-plated hardware. Neck is made of mahogany and it has a set in joint. Tak`s own custom contour is featured in the back. 22 medium jumbo frets, abalone trapezoid inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide corian nut are found on the fingerboard made of genuine rosewood. Bridge and neck pickup positions have BursBucker 3 and BurstBucker 2 humbuckers, respectively. Pickups feature zebra coil design and simple controls unit.
