At last, the new Gibson Firebird X hits the stores to sweep the world and bring the guitar to another level. Revolutionary new technologies were applied both in the production process and within groundbreaking new features made available through electronics. Simplicity and functionality were the paramount principles guiding the selection and application process for the new features, for they need to feel as natural and intuitive as possible. Some of the key functions are available for utilization and manipulation with a minimum of motion and playing disruption required.
The Gibson Firebird X represents a landmark in timeline of the guitar industry, the point from which all other guitars will be viewed and valued in a new and defferent light. Twenty new and revolutionary features previously unseen propel this already amazing instrument to staggering new heights.
Fully manipulable pickups on the Gibson Firebird X can be separately switched on, of, turned single coil, reversed in polarity, switched from serial to parallel and back. Freescale multi processor is the powerhouse of this axe with amazing presets and tone. Additional tog-pots allow easy basic sound manipulation while playing. Built in digital tuner and user editable software for the processor are also a standard feature. Gibson Firebird X has ultra modern gig bag, 24-bit G-node computer interface and wireless footswitches. Robo tuners of the fourth generations are more advanced than ever.
Swamp ash body, set in rock maple neck, curly maple fingerboard combined with Redolution or Bluevolution nitrocellulose finishes make the Gibson Firebird X one hot looking axe. The body is chambered for weight and acoustic resonance reasons. C-shaped satin finished set-in neck is smooth, comfortable and fast. It features a curly maple fingerboard with 23 frets. Active bridge piezo and two minibuckers in the middle and neck position are fully manipulable. They can be turned on, off, single coil, reversed in polarity, switched from serial to parallel connection. Piezo is modeled to recreate the sound of legendary Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar.
Groundbreaking progress is made with the Freescale multi processor, which is equipped with pure analog engine. This processor picks the analog signal from the pickups, processes it with almost no latency and sends it to the outputs. The software is filled with tons of effects and presets of which some are available directly through tog-pots and others through combining the pots, sliders and switches.
Other features include: Tune-o-matic bridge with a stoptail bar, 24-3/4" scale, 12" fingerboard radius, 1.695" nut width, black tefzell nut, single ply white headstock binding. Gibson Firebird X is available in Redolution and Bluevolution colors.
