This time around, there`s only one model reinforcing the SG series, but fear not, for the Gibson USA made one of the sweetest SGs ever. Name of the model is SG Deluxe and it comes with a selection of wild and beautiful color options with nitrocellulose gloss finish. Flat top SG is turned into a carved top guitar for this occasion and it features a bookmatched flamed maple top. Both the bindings and pickguard have been scratched off the specs list of this cool double-cut due to the natural beauty of the flamed maple and modern, eccentric color schemes. Chrome hardware goes stunningly good with the overall looks of the guitar. Gibson USA has put a high price tag on this one, thus leaving it out of the range of the majority of SG fans.
Gibson USA SG Deluxe is a solid, double-cut guitar with base of the body made of mahogany. mahogany neck with slim taper contour is also featured on this model, as it is one of the most recognizable features in the SG history. Three '57 Classic humbuckers are installed on front of the bridge section and they feature SG`s standard controls unit with two volumes, two tones and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Bridge section features a tune-o-matic bridge with Bigsby vibrato bar and a trapezoid tailpiece. All hardware, including the bridge section is plated in chrome. Neck on this SG is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. This model is made for modern players who like a bit of vintage styling and vintage tone on their axe.
