Gibson USA once more redefines what is a good mix of vintage and modern. New N-225 is a masterful example and possibly a look into the future.
Gibson Guitars once more redefine modern vintage segment and possibly set a new industry trend with an amazing N-225. This new model is introduced into the Designer series and is the most modern looking semi-hollow in the entire catalog. N-225`s body design is based upon the older Design series models and features standard double cutaway, as well as the set in joint for the neck. Body of this six-string axe is made of maple back and maple top. Solid wood is used on this model. Strategically distributed chambers have double function, ease the burden on player`s shoulders and give this beauty a better voice. Flat on top, this model features no decorative top wood covers, not it has a pickguard. Neck is also made of maple and it`s glued in. It features a slim and comfortable '60s contour in the back. On it`s top Gibson installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of solid rosewood. Medium jumbo frets are decorated with standard block inlays. On the headstock, a set of Grover tuners is found. Bridge section on this model features the standard tune-o-matic bridge with vibrola tailpiece, instead a stoptail bar. Dirty Fingers humbucker is featured in the bridge position and it`s paired with a P-90 in the neck. The MSRP for this model is set at $2,332. Not one of the cheapest Gibsons, that`s for sure.
