Gibson USA Nancy Wilson Nighthawk Standard is a solid and single-cut guitar made of Gibson`s traditional combo: mahogany in the back and flamed maple on top. Nighthawks are modified LPs with 25-1/2" scales and string-through construction. This one is no exception. LP-like single-cut body is paired with a mahogany neck through a set in neck joint. Hardtail bridge on this model is fronted with a pair of Nighthawk humbuckers (neck position features minibucker pickup). Neck is equipped with a 22-frt fingerboard made of rosewood. 3+3 tuning machines are installed on the traditional headstock. This six-string gem is a dream come true for all the players bent on the raw 1970s tone and delivery. It wasn`t after an intensive research and thousands of traveled miles, that Gibson`s research team determined that Duane`s 1959 Cherry Sunburst LP was his main stage and studio weapon. this one is an exact replica of the original model. Solid mahogany body is topped with a bound and carved flame maple top. Classic and period correct two-piece bridge section is fronted with a pair of Custom Bucker pickups with Alnico III magnets. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
