Gibson has been among the leaders in the electric bass section of the market for the past five decades with SG, Thunderbird, Grabber and EB models. Tradition that is hard to maintain for such a long time in a business where competition is so utterly strong. Nevertheless, Gibson proves it with every new bass they produce that their place is at the fore front. This time a legend is revived and armed to take on the world with it`s power, looks and versatility. The name of the new model is the EB Bass and it`s being introduced through Gibson`s USA division. Strong and able to deal with every style and requirement player might have, the new EB Bass brings a promise to rock everyone`s socks off. Gibson USA EB Bass is a double cut instrument with a solid body made of ash. This body is flat-top and equipped with mortise & tenon neck joint construction. Neck with which it`s paired is made of maple and rocks rounded and comfortable contour. On top of the Neck, a rosewood fingerboard is installed and it comes with 20 dot-marked frets. 12" radius and 1.60" wide corian nut complete the fingerboard. Grover tuners are installed on the headstock of the EB Bass. Pickups come in H/H configuration and can be split through push/pull switches installed on the volume control knobs. Master tone completes the control unit. Bridge on this one is Babicz with four saddles and top load construction. Satin Fireburst, Satin Ebony, Satin Creme and Natural Satin are four color options available for this one and all four come with MSRP price tags set at $1,999.
