Gibson USA release the Krist Novoselic signature bass in celebration of 20th anniversary of Nirvana`s breakthrough album, Nevermind.
In honor of 20th anniversary of Nirvana`s breakthrough album, Nevermind and as a tribute to one of the most influential bass players in past two decades Gibson USA have decided to build, and now unveil the new Krist Novoselic RD Bass. Krist managed to create his own distinctive tone and incorporate it with his strong stage presence and unique playing style. With Nirvana, and after it, through various bands Krist helped form and influenced the formation of many important bass players of today. And now, after more than twenty years of work Krist finally gets a signature Gibson bass.
Gibson Krist Novoselic RD Bass comes with a solid maple body with a set neck. The bridge on this bass is a three point string through bridge that guarantees this bad boy stays in tune no matter what. A pair of Seymour Duncan single coils in the bridge and middle position give the power and clarity of unmatched level. The tonal properties of these pickups provide the precision and harmonic clarity of single coils and noise canceling properties of humbuckers. Controls consist of split volume knobs for fully separate volume control and a master tone knob. Set in maple neck has a rounded profile for a firm and tight grip. Obeche fingerboard sports 20 medium jumbo frets and dot inlays. Other features include: 12" fingerboard radius, 34" scale, 1.60" nut width, corian nut, Grover vintage styled tuners, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, chrome hardware and a pickguard.
