New acoustic-electric mandolin is introduced into the Gretsch catalog. It is the new pride and joy of the Roots series.
Gretsch is one of the brands with longest and brightest traditions in the guitar industry. They were among the first ones to embrace the electric guitar and the modern rock `n` roll music. Many more times, Gretsch has been on the forefront of the revolution and change. Back in the 1950s and 1960s, Gretsch, along with Rickenbacker, Gibson and Fender shaped the sound and appearance of rock music into what we now know, cherish and celebrate. As the years went on by, Gretsch has become one of the strongest pillars of rock `n` roll tradition and history. Today, their catalog is mostly based on the vintage guitars and basses which pay tribute to the golden era of rock music. Along with guitars and basses, Gretsch has recently introduced the magnificent Roots series which is oriented to the preservation of another great American tradition, it`s country and folk music. For the summer of 2013, Gretsch introduces a brand new acoustic-electric model named G9311 New Yorker Supreme A/E Mandolin.
