Ibanez Guitars have unveiled numerous electric guitars for 2013. Iron Label, Artstar and Artcore Expressionist series were introduced, while the RG received the most updates.
Ibanez Guitars have renewed the catalog for 2013 with over 100 models, with 60 of them belonging to electric guitrs section. These huge numbers are somewhat disproportionate, as most of the newly introduced models cater to the budget-friendly section of the market, while the minority aims at higher classes and professional musicians. Nine models are introduced into the Signature Artist series, with three new guitarists receiving their first Ibanez signature models. Seven guitars have made their debut under the Iron label banner. RG series has been updated with 18 new models. RGD series has received one novelty. S series has six new models. Three new models have been introduced into the Iceman series. Only one guitar has been unveiled for the FR series. A total of 15 hollow bodied guitars have made their debut at NAMM 2013. Two belong to the Pat Metheny signature series, three are introduced into the new Artstar series, four into Artcore Expressionist and six into the Artcore line.

Iceman and FR
Iceman was the first original contour made by Ibanez and it had it`s debut back in 1970s. Despite it`s radical design and some high quality features, it was run over by numerous Strat, Tele and LP replicas made by Ibanez. Over the course of time, it faded and eventually fell out of the roster. Couple of years ago, Ibanez decided to rejuvenate and reintroduce the famous Iceman. It kicked off with a big blast and it`s still standing strong. Current lineup is not very wide, but for 2013 it`s being updated with three new models: IC500, IC500B and IC507. FR series offers affordable single-cut guitars made in the image of the cult Telecaster. The only update this series received is FR320.

They also have contrasting binding around the top and that`s where differences stop. IC500B has a solid mahogany body with flat top and set in neck joint. DiMarzio D-Activator humbuckers are installed in front of the Gibraltar bridge with six adjustable saddles. Mahogany/maple neck is made of three pieces of wood and it`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. For more info check IC500B detail page on our site, or on Ibanez official web page.
