IJX200 electric guitar pack and IJCV50 acoustic guitar pack are launched along with the monumental JEM EVO 25th Anniversary Limited Edition model.
Quarter of a century is in no way a small jubilee and it deserves a proper celebration. In guitar world, it`s usually celebrated with reissues and replicas of the iconic models. 25 years ago Ibanez and Steve Vai started one of the most successful stories in history of guitar when marvel named JEM EVO was created. Ibanez RG-styled body was paired with DiMarzio Evolution pickups and the legend was born. Steve Vai played it and still plays it to this very day, it is his main axe in both studio and on the road. Today, 25 years later 100 copies of JEM EVO 25th Anniversary will be made to honor the legendary axe. Besides the JEM, Ibanez also introduces two jumpstart packs, one solid-bodied electric and one acoustic. Their names are IJX200 and IJVC50, respectively. They enter the market with some of the largest accessory packs and great build quality.
Ibanez JEM EVO 25th Anniversary is an exact replica of the original JEM EVO Ibanez made for Steve Vai in 1987. Tone woods, hardware, aesthetic appointments, bruises, scratches, dents, it`s all there. Plus Steve`s signature on the back side of the guitar. Body is made of alder and it`s flat, unbound and without a top wood cover. It`s paired with a replica of the current neck, which was installed in 1997. It`s made of maple and it`s bolted to the body. Evolution pickups are installed with the same configuration as on Steve`s EVO. Bridge Evolution pickup is installed regularly in bridge position and it`s reversed in bridge position. Single coil pickup is placed in between them. 24 frets with tree of life inlays, 1.69" nut and 16.90" radius complete the fingerboard. Ibanez IJX200 is an electric guitar jumpstart pack introduced for the fall of 2012. It includes a beginner`s electric guitar and a huge pack of accessories, including 10-watt amp, gig bag, cable, electronics tuner and much more. Guitar itself is RG-styled solid-body model made of basswood. Bridge is a synchronized tremolo with string-through construction. Pair of passive Ibanez humbuckers is installed in front of the bridge. Master volume, master tone and three-position blade switch comprise the controls. Maple neck is bolted to the body and topped with a 24-fret fingerboard. Ibanez IJVC50 is an acoustic pack made for beginners. It includes one grand concert guitar and basically everything a beginner needs to start his or her journey. Guitar is a non-cutaway model with fully acoustic construction. Body of this model is made of agathis back and sides with spruce sound board. Top is bound in black and equipped with black plastic pickguard. Bridge section is equipped with a rosewood bridge with classic belly contour. This bridge is matched with a 20-fret fingerboard, also made of rosewood. Fingerboard has dot inlays, 1.69" Ivorex II nut and 12" radius.
