 Ibanez has managed to cover huge ground with only five models, introducing new signatures, new  beginner models and even a baritone acoustic-electric guitar.

 In the brand new issue of the Ibanez Plugged In newsletter, several very interesting catalog updates have been presented to the public. Five new models, five series updated and five different target groups are being covered by these new axes. The Artist series is updated with the brutal ARZ6UC with smashing Bare Knuckle humbuckers. Bass lovers can rejoice, as well, for the BTB series has received the BTB7E, a seven-stringed giant. JSM10 is the new John Scofield signature model, it`s based on the previously introduced JSM100. Beginner class welcomes the sharp and youthful GRX20, while the AEL series is represented by it`s first baritone model ever, the mighty AELBT1.

Ibanez ARZ6UC is a killing metal machine with dark and menacing looks and a tone strong enough to cause an earthquake. Solid and single-cut mahogany/maple body of this model is offered only in black with satin finish and multi-ply binding. Bare Knuckle Nailbomb pickups are feature on the top. Two piece bridge unit behind them, 3-piece mahogany neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard are also featured. Ibanez BTB7E is a monster, a true bass Goliath among the Davids when compared to the other models. It comes with neck-through-body construction, simple and elegant design and an utterly versatile tone. Maple/rosewood wings are glued onto the sides of the maple/rosewood/walnut neck. Passive CAP pickups can take it all and do it all.24-fret rosewood fingerboard is installed upon the rosewood neck. Ibanez JSM10 is another signature model made for Mr Scofield by Ibaney guitars. This beauty comes with a fully hollow and double-cut body made of flamed maple. ART-1 bridge/Quick Change III Tailpiece, passive Super 58 pickups with golden covers. Sapele neck is set in and has a set of 22 frets. Ibanez GRX range is dedicated to the younger players, mostly metalheads, who need something reliable, but cheap. It comes with a solid and double-cut poplar body and a bolted maple neck. Ibanez pickups are installed in the classic H/H configuration. Tremolo bridge, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and die-cast tuners are also there. Ibanez AELBT1 is the first acoustic-electric baritone introduced into the AEL series. It comes with a long 27” scale and a single-cut AEL body. Back and sides are made of mahogany, while the top is made of spruce. Also, a mahogany neck, Fishman pickup and preamp, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and chrome-plated tuners are featured.
