Four new models introduced into the USA Select lines at this year`s Musikmesse come with Passive electronics, 27" scales and hardtail bridges represent the winning combination.

Jackson is one of the most renowned and respected guitar brands, both in the USA and around the world. After being purchased by Fender, Jackson is having a revival of the catalog, sales figures are up and they`re gaining back their strong reputation they`ve built up around metal-oriented guitars. Soloist, Dinky, Rhoads, King V and other models are now selling better than ever. USA Select series in the catalog is under the spotlight for 2013. At NAMM 2013, Jackson unveiled 4 USA Select series models, while the 2013 Musikmesse saw four more novelties for USA Select lines. Models introduced at this year`s Frankfurt Musikmesse are B7, B7 Deluxe, B8 and B8 Deluxe. All four feature Jackson die-cast tuners, 24-fret fingerboards, 27" scales and DiMarzio pickups.

Jackson B7 is the first of four models introduced at Frankfurt Musikmesse this year. It comes with 27" scale, double-cut body and bolt-on neck. Body is made of alder and flame maple top. Maple top is used for Natural and Walnut Stain options. Hardtail bridge has seven saddles and it`s fronted by a pair of DiMarzio D-Activator pickups. Bolt-on neck is made of maple and it is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. Jackson tuners, 1-7/8" string nut and 12"-16" fingerboard radius complete the specs list. Jackson B7

Jackson B7 Deluxe is the second of two seven-string models introduced at Musikmesse. The only big difference between this model and the regular B7 is the neck joint. B7 has a bolt-on neck, while this one has neck-through construction. Alder and flame maple are combined for the body. Seven-saddled hardtail bridge is fronted with DiMarzio D-Activator humbuckers with standard controls. Maple neck is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with 1-7/8" string nut and compound 12"-16" radius. Jackson die-cast tuners are featured on the headstock. Jackson B8 is the first of two eight-string guitars reviewed in this article. It kicks off with the same double-cut alder body with flame maple top. Classic Jackson hardtail bridge now has eight saddles and standard string-through construction. Eight-string DiMarzio D-Activator pickups come with master volume, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch. Jackson B8 Deluxe is the fourth and final model introduced into the USA Select series at Frankfurt Musikmesse this year. Alder body is solid, double-cut and features carved top. Neck is made of maple and it runs through the body. Hardtail bridge has eight adjustable saddles and string-through construction. DiMarzio D-Activator pickups are featured in the front.
