Marvelous Les Paul Custom Pro Koa and Wildkat Koa are ready to rock the stages and studios around the world.
In recent years Epiphone has been utilizing Limited Edition as the primary concept for introduction of new features and ideas. Thus far the response has been generally positive, with players reacting well to the concept. The models which have managed to gain momentum throughout their short period of exposure were transferred to the standard side of the catalog and the ones which failed were quickly left behind. This time around Epiphone has unveiled a pair of koa-topped six-stringers. Their names are Limited Edition Les Paul Custom Pro Koa and Limited Edition Wildkat Koa. Both feature 22-fret fingerboards, Epiphone electronics and figured koa tops. Gold-plated hardware, black plastics and white binding (LP actually has black and white binding around the top) are also present on both models.
Limited Edition Les Paul Custom Pro Koa is a real stunner, both aesthetically and sonically. It delivers on both fronts. Gorgeous koa top, gold-plated hardware, elegant binding and black plastics give it classy looks, while the Epiphone`s famous ProBucker humbuckers, together with Grover tuners and LockTone bridge bring a supremely versatile and stable tone to the table. Limited Edition Wildkat Koa brings forth another dimension of the classic Gibson/Epiphone recipe – a compact semi-hollow body. It is a single-cut with two „f“ holes and a soft Venetian cutaway. There are two more key ingredients – Epiphone`s „Dogear“ P-90 single-coils and Bigsby-equipped bridge unit. This exquisite Wildkat is available only in natural color with gold-plated hardware, white binding and black plastics.
