New Pacer Vintage is introduced at Kramer Guitars. Flashy looks, heavy tones and lightning speed mark the birth of this pacer.
In the middle of the 1980s the beast of shred arose from the fingerboards of such legends as Eddie Van Halen, Vivian Campbell, Jeff Golub and countless others to subdue and dominate the scene. The Pacer was Kramer`s response to the emergency call from guitarists around the world, and it was riding at the helm of the shred division. Today, the Kramer Pacer Vintage revives the flash, thunder and appeal the original Pacers had. Traditionally shaped double cutaway body, two humbucking pickups, Floyd rose tremolo bridge and 22 fret maple fingerboard are the main weapons in the arsenal of Pacer Vintage.
Pacer Vintage starts off with a solid maple body with a double cutaway and a flat top. Glossy finish is applied both with the flashy Tiger striped color scheme and more discreet, toned-down Honey Burst option. The bridge section is made up of a solid and strong double locking Floyd Rose FRT-02000 tremolo. Pickups on this model are open coil Seymour Duncan JBs with Alnico V magnets. They are configured in H-H setup and the pickup manipulation is done through split volume knobs with push-pull functions and a master tone control. Pickup selector is a three-way toggle switch.
Neck on the Pacer Vintage is made of maple and features a bolt-on joint. It features a thin taper shape with elliptical contour and maple fingerboard. The fingerboard has shred friendly 22 medium jumbo frets, and also black dot inlays. Scale is 25-1/2" long and the die-cast nut is 1.62" wide. Other features include: Polyurethane finish, 12" fingerboard radius, premium tuners and chrome plated hardware. The MSRP for this model is set at $1,266.
With it`s '80s appointments and thunderous tone, the Pacer Vintage brings shredding back under the spotlights. Floyd Rose tremolo, dual Seymour Duncans and 22 medium jumbo frets on maple fingerboard are weapons strong enough to keep this model going for years to come.
