Dethklok`s Skwisgaar Skwigelf has finally got a signature model. It is called Thunderhorse and it took the form of a Silverburst Explorer.
Nathan Explosion, Pickles, Skwisgaar Skwigelf, William Murderface and Toki Wartooth are not the first animated super stars, but they sure are first animated metal band to achieve world-wide popularity and massive following. The brains, instruments and vocals behind the Metalocalypse's metal gang is Brendon Small, a man who also started a live band which tours and records in the name of Dethklok. Considering the facts that the band has outgrown the boundaries of it`s original show and gained it`s real life incarnation, that they already have three studio album releases and that their popularity is on a constant rise gave Brendon and Epiphone some material to think about. In the end, Dethklok`s mastermind and Epiphone luthiers joined forces to give Skwiglaar Skwigelf, band`s lead guitarist, his own axe. Ltd. Ed. Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Brendon Small 'Thunderhorse' Explorer Outfit is a solid-bodied guitar with flat top and set in neck joint. This beast is equipped with a high quality pickups combo, consisting of Gibson USA Burstbucker 1 in the neck and overwound Gibson USA Burstbucker 2 in the bridge position. Two volume knobs feature push/pull switches for coil splitting. Master tone knob and three-way toggle pickup switch complete the electronics department. Bridge section is a classic Gibson/Epiphone two-piece. It is made up of tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. Set in neck is made of mahogany and it features slim taper D contour in the back. 22-fret fingerboard is phenolic and has dot inlays. Thunderhorse is available only in Silverburst.
