A total of ten novelties were displayed at Cort`s booth at this year`s NAMM in Anaheim, Ca.
Cort is one of the most prominent brands hailing from East Asia, from South Korea, to be exact. Their catalog is made up of a huge variety of acoustic and electric guitars and basses with accent on the intermediate class. For 2014 edition of the NAMM, Cort has prepared ten new models. Four of them are acoustic-electric guitars, three fully acoustic models and three electric guitars. Acoustic-electric models are: SFX10, CJ3V, MR710F-BW and MR600F. Acoustics are: L300V, L100-O and Earth300V. Electric guitar segment of the catalog is being updated with three models: X-4, G220 and CR230.
Cort L300V is the first of a total of ten models Cort has introduced at this year`s NAMM. It is an intermediate OM six-stringer from the popular Luce series. Cort SFX10 is one of four acoustic-electric guitars Cort introduces for 2014. It comes with a single-cut SFX body made of flamed maple back and sides and spruce soundboard on the top. Electronics installed on this model are supplied by Fishman) Presys preamp/Sonicore pickup). 20-fret rosewood fingerboard is also featured. Cort X-4 is an affordable metal beast introduced by Cort at this year`s NAMM. This double-cut six-stringer comes with a carved basswood body and bolted maple neck. Pair of EMG HZ humbuckers (passive) is featured on the top. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and non-locking tremolo bridge are also among the essential features. Cort CJ3V is a jumbo-shaped steel-stringer with vintage styling and construction. This is the perfect intermediate class solution for the fans of the big old jumbo and Gibson styling. Flamed maple and spruce are combined for the voluminous body of this CJ. Fishman electronics, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboards are also featured on this model. Cort MR710F-BW is one of two models introduced into the MR series for 2014. Cort L100-O is a fully acoustic six-stringer and one of two models reinforcing the Luce series lineup for 2014. It comes with a non-cutaway orchestra body and series standard neck with a 14th fret neck joint. Mahogany is used for the back and side panels of the body, as well as for the neck. Cort Earth300V is a fully acoustic dreadnought guitar with six-string construction and vintage design. Cort CR230 is one of three solid-bodied electric guitars introduced at this year`s NAMM. It is an intermediate class six-stringer with LP design and styling. Cort G220 is a double-cut six-stringer with Superstrat contour and classic construction. Offset body of this intermediate axe is made of basswood, while the bolt-on neck is made of maple. Passive pickups are installed in the HSS pattern (EMG HZ in the bridge) and are backed by a vintage trem bridge.
