With the introduction of the ultra modern Misha Mansoor Juggernaut/Bulb signature series and the update of Phil Demmel`s Demmelition, Jackson targets extreme metal fans.
At 2015 NAMM, Jackson has fielded a rather large and vast army of six, seven and eight-string axes. Forty two models in four tiers were introduced. Eleven models joined the beginner JS range, while the X series with fifteen took the lion`s share of the new models. Superb Pro series snatched away further eleven models, leaving only five entries to the prestigious Signature Artist range. Saving the best for the last, we bring you the majestic Signature Artist line novelties for 2015. The composition of the new signature entries is as follows – four models form the new Djent and Shred-oriented Misha Mansoor Juggernaut/Bulb series, while the Demmelition Pro series reenergizes the brutal V-shaped Phil Demmel line. Top of the line hardware, the finest tonewoods and picked-by-artists electronics guarantee complete satisfaction. Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT 6, Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT 7, Misha Mansoor Bulb HT 6 and Misha Mansoor Bulb HT 7 form the initial lineup of the Misha Mansoor line, while the already mentioned Demmelition Pro Series strengthens the Demmelition line.
Misha Mansoor is the only new member of the electric guitar side of the Signature Artist range Jackson introduced at 2015 NAMM. His Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT6 comes with a custom carved alder body with quilt maple top, super slim maple neck with graphite reinforcements, custom ebony fingerboard with 20” radius and Misha`s own signature Bare Knuckle Juggernaut pickups. Continuing and developing the same theme as the previous model, Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT 7 kicks it up a notch with a low B string and the extended range version of the Misha Mansoor signature Bare Knuckle Juggernaut humbuckers. Alder and quilted maple body, a Hipshot bridge, 24-fret ebony fingerboard and bolted maple neck are also there. Bulb side of the Misha Mansoor series kicks off with a six-stringed Misha Mansoor Bulb HT 6. Basically, it features the same specs list, but with different cosmetics and different color options. Transparent finishes feature alder bodies beneath quilt maple tops, while the solid colors have all-basswood bodies. Misha`s Bulb logo on the fingerboard and brushed nickel pickup covers make the Juggernaut and Bulb models distinguishable from each other, but under the hood, these are pretty much the same guitars. Misha Mansoor Bulb HT 7 is the fourth and final model in the initial lineup of Misha`s signature line. Standard features of the Bulb side include: brushed nickel pickup covers (though the standard Juggernauts sit beneath them), Misha`s Bulb logo on the 12th fret of the ebony fingerboard and a choice between a basswood (solid finishes) and an alder body (transparent finishes). Back of the body and the cutaways are heavily carved according to Misha`s specs on all models, including this seven-stringer. The fifth and the final update of the Signature Artist range is the brutal Pro Series Demmelition. It brings a certain Pro series flavor to Phil Demmel`s signature line. Solid V-contoured body comes with beveled edges and customized tail fins. Alder body wings, three-piece maple neck with through-body construction, Floyd Rose tremolo bridge, 24-fret ebony fingerboard and EMG`s 81/60 pickups combo make up this down-tuned beast.
