Ibanez Guitars are currently reinforcing their electric bass department with one of the finest models ever featured within their ranks. It`s name is BTB7 and it is the new flagship model of the BTB series. BTB basses are among the most popular and respected basses among the players who want huge versatility of tone and ultimate build quality. BTBs don`t have the super modern edgy design and pickups. Instead, they roll with ease, being smooth and big. Pickups on BTB models give a big and strong tone and are capable of extreme displays of raw power, as well. Neck-through-body is the predominant type of body and neck construction in the BTB series, which gives the best results in stability and sustain fields. One more ace up the BTB sleeve is the tonewood selection. Ibanez assigns only the top grade pieces to this amazing series. Maple, walnut, rosewood and bubinga dominate the BTB scene.
Ibanez BTB7 is a seven-stringed electric bass andn it features 35" scale, neck-through-body construction, flat top with contoured edges, Rosewood fingerboard and gold-plated hardware. Body of this model is made up of maple wings and neck in the center. Top of the body is made of walnut and it`s glued to the neck and the wings. Neck is made of seven laminates of maple, bubinga and walnut and features the custom BTB7 contour in the back. 24-fret fingerboard on the top has small dot inlays. Headstock is equipped with seven modern tuning machines installed in 3+4 pattern. A pair of CAP Sonic Arch single-coil pickups is installed on the top of the body.
